Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
Maskduck is designed so that your photos and the information inside them never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Data we collect
None. Maskduck does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. We do not use analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising identifiers, or crash reporters.
How your photos are handled
When you pick a photo, it is read locally by the app. All text recognition (OCR) and masking runs on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. No photo, thumbnail, or extracted text is ever uploaded to a server.
Permissions we request
- Photo Library (read) — to let you pick a photo to mask.
- Photo Library (add) — to save the masked result back to your library, if you choose.
We do not request any other permissions.
Third-party services
Maskduck does not integrate with third-party services, analytics providers, or advertising networks.
Children's privacy
Maskduck does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Because we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly.
