Does Maskduck upload my photos anywhere?

No. All text recognition and masking runs locally on your iPhone. Photos never leave your device.

Why didn't it detect a piece of sensitive info?

Auto-detection uses on-device OCR and pattern matching. Rare formats, handwriting, or low-contrast text may be missed. You can always add a mask manually with the brush or rectangle tool.

Can I remove the watermark from the exported image?

Not in the current version. The watermark is small and placed in the bottom-right corner to help others discover the app.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Maskduck is fully offline.

What iOS versions are supported?

iOS 16 and later, on iPhone.
